Game development is one of my hobbies and I love taking part in game jams (hackathons for games) at the weekend. The majority of these were made under the alias Andrew Howizon. Normally, I create all of the 3D art alongside the programming and design.
An art-driven game of discovery. This was one of PC GAMER’s free games of the week. It hit the #1 spot on Itch.io during its initial release and to date has over 3000+ downloads, and 15+ video reviews. My role was team lead/artist/programmer.
Unity (C#), Blender, WriterDuet. It placed #2 for Art in Rainbow Jam 2017, a game jam dedicated to LGBT causes.
I had a lot of fun working on RetroDaddy. Set in a fictional conference for fathers, a series of mini-games tests you to be the best wood chopper and fish fisher. You can also play Pong by shooting a paddle. Awarded 2nd place in #OpenJam17! Featured at AllThingsOpen conference with an exclusive computer for guests to try it out.

Awarded 3rd place in #CFNgamejam! A fast-paced arena beat-em-up with multiple custom particle systems and an evolving player model.

Kati Salminen is an amazing artist and it was wonderful to be able to collab with her. I focused on building procedural generated terrain algorithms and high-stakes gameplay.

This was an entry for the 72hour GameJolt #dreamhackjam. A solo development effort with voice-over by @CoalFire and music by Stevia Sphere. It’s always fun writing a voice script and building the game at the same time.
